T600 white screen problem

Interestingly, the manual tells you how to get the device to sleep, but not how you are "meant" to wake it up.

This is definitely a software problem, I had installed S2U2 & MortScript and between the two it fixed the issue pressing the power button would bring me back to the menu and not the white screen. But one of the two killed wifi for me and the backup taken said it was corrupt on restoring (Thanks SPB ) after hard reset wifi worked but I didn't want to risk wifi over installing the two above programs as they have no use to me now.

So try at your own peril it worked for me and the wifi issue may have been a coincidence, would like a fix for it but I don't wish to reinstall everything because of it.

Here is something VERY interesting regarding the White screen issue.
I have had this "fault" with my T600 from new and read about software updates sorting it, but have chosen not to attempt updating software, up to now.
However, i damaged the digitiser, and ordered a new LCD and Digitiser from a Chinese seller on Ebay.
It arrived within 6 days, took 1/2 hour to fit and best of all, THE WHITE SCREEN ISSUE IS NOW CURED!!!.

OK, today I uploaded a new video with a constant white screen with stripes (!)

This occured after I setup a grps connection (thanks to free 70mb internet) and then had my windows live account synced with Messaging app.
It seems that whenever it tries to sync (?) while phone is on standby mode, I get a white screen with stripes now.

Worst of all, it cannot be fixed by pressing power button.. You have to soft-reset!

I doubt that changing my TFT will fix this -am I right?

If you doubt, then don't change anything. Anyway, the above posts say that lcd replacement helped.
