GSmart MS820 WM6.5 ROM unofficial from GSmart Club

This is the first attempt to make a working WM6.5 ROM for GSmart MS820.

v1.00 (test version): WM6.5.3 build 23518

IMPORTANT: after the first boot you MUST install files.cab from !important folder. The other folder extra contains extra applications, which you can install if you need them. No CUSTFILE folder is needed! Make sure that this folder doesn't exist on your SD card!

The update procedure is usual, make sure that you read the ROM update manual. You can always find it on the official site.

Overall feedback of ROM:
Bluetooth : Working
Camera : Working great, even faster than previous
Wifi : Not Tested as I dont have any access point.
Screen : Graphics is better than 6.1
Battery : No change
Input from setting removed.
Personally I feel faster than 6.1 and responsive.

Overall 10/10.

How can I take a backup of old ROM before I install this new one?

Wifi : Not Tested as I dont have any access point.

WiFi works good.
The only issue is with task bar. It looks too wide and some applications e.g. phone (LOL) won't fit on screen. Left scroll bar appears and makes me upset

It depends on what the purpose of making a backup is. If you want to restore that backup on WM6.5 ROM, then it's a bad idea, you should backup PIM data (personal information: contacts, messages, appointments) ONLY! If you're talking about downgrading back to the original ROM, then make a FULL backup and make sure there's the same ROM version available for download on the official site. After that when you decide to downgrade you should install original ROM and restore your backup. You can make backups with the preinstalled Spb Backup.

And another question. Is it possible to return the Bubblebreaker game back?
One more I've seen instructions how to make cash bigger somewhere... Or not cash... Something regarding to memory. They said it's possible to change something in ROM and phone becomes faster, with bigger RAM and so on. I can't find these instructions now. Does anybody know what I'm talking about? Is it possible to do in new version of ROM upgrade? Thank you.

it's called paging pool, it's already set to he maximum performance. I don't remember, are there cpu speed settings on MS820? you can play with it to make the phone faster.
