GSmart MS820 WM6.5 ROM unofficial from GSmart Club

This is the first attempt to make a working WM6.5 ROM for GSmart MS820.

v1.00 (test version): WM6.5.3 build 23518

IMPORTANT: after the first boot you MUST install files.cab from !important folder. The other folder extra contains extra applications, which you can install if you need them. No CUSTFILE folder is needed! Make sure that this folder doesn't exist on your SD card!

The update procedure is usual, make sure that you read the ROM update manual. You can always find it on the official site.

Now we're waiting a new 2.09.47 ROM for Russia, I hope it will be released soon and we can use it as a source of some new components.

Did 2.09.47 ROM released? Can we expect a new build soon? thanks.

It seems Dattad abondoned this thread. So I restored my MS820 with original ROM that I found in the following link:

Hi!

The 2.2 version firmware working funny. You download WiFi Profiles from this link http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-dow ... 0-0-2.html. Configure a new profile and apply settings. If you reboot your phone use WiFi profiles to wifi connections.
To remove "Beta" watermark, edit this registry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Device Beta]

Hi katanati, I don't understand your last post. Do you mean we can use wifi via the WiFi Profiles v0.05 you suggested?

I have been waiting for new WM6.5 Rom coming out for several days.
