No wifi connection: unavailable

Postby lukas » Tue Apr 21, 2009 3:27 pm

I bought a MS800 (64MB) phone here in China. I changed the firmware to the English version on this website. I couldn't try it out before, but whenever I try to turn wifi on it gives me the message "unavailable".

The camera button doesn't work either. No matter how long I push it. I can use the camera through the program files folder.

Does anyone have any idea about it?

Have you installed ROM English V2.05.A6 Custfile 1.09 ? The camera button has two positions, so it's not important how long you push it, it's important how.

hello,

thanks for replying. It was working for a short moment and now it doesn't work again. I will try to figure out what happened and post it here.

I tried ROM English V2.05.A6 Custfile 1.09 and the older rom.

I have a question about the GPS though. Since it is a used phone, I want to make sure that everything works.
Outdoors, the phone detects 12 satellites in view and 0 for positioning. Could this be related to being in a China? I mainly bought the phone to use the GPS when I return to Europe.

thank you very much!

First of all try to hard reset the device, maybe it helps. GPS: if it's a cold start, it may take some minutes to catch sattelites. Also there're some faulty MW700/MS800 devices with GPS problems, maybe you'll have to visit a service center.
