I know that it's already solved in the latest Russian roms, for example. Maybe it's phone module related, try to install the latest update for it and check the sms issue: MW700 Radio updates

I have found that my mw700 after some time in standby (about an hour or so) stops responding to anything, calls, sms.
When I press button on top it sometimes acts like he was in standby and I got the message about missed calls or late sms or it just turns on like it was actually off and not in standby.
Is that Standby of death Im reading all over the forum?
It happens even with battery fully charged, like 90% or so.

I was looking at roms on other threads but there is no service for repair in my country (got a phone over ebay) so I'm not really happy with experimenting
Is there a way to backup current rom in my phone and how dangerous is it to install new one? And should I even do an update? my gps and wifi are working great, not sure am I gonna screw that up with radio or rom update
