GSmart i350 WM6.1 ROM by korand

Hi all,

As I said in my first post, my i350 sometimes stucks! Now I have understood which are the circumstances which makes this problem to appear. Before, let me explain what I intend with the term "stuck".

Sometimes, when the phone receives an incoming call, it does not signal the event (no ring, screen stands off etc.). On the other side, the callee hears the free tone. From that point on, the phone is completely blocked. It does not reply to any event. Also, it does not wake up neither with soft reset. The only possibility is to hold the power on/off button for several seconds (10, 20 seconds) and sometimes it doesn't work. So, the last way to reboot is remove the battery and insert it again.

Now, I have discovered that this happen when the battery charge is less than 70%.

I thought that it was just a problem of the firmware but now, as suggested by dattad, I have updated the firmware with the i350-V5.00.D8-ENG and the problem persists.

Please, could you suggest me what I can do now?

Sorry, I forgot to point out that the problem happens ONLY when the phone is in stand by.

the problem was just recently solved in the latest Russian and Chinese roms, but there're no official updates for other countries. If you wish you can try to install an unofficial English WM6.1 rom (by korand):

From babelfish: Гости не могут просматривать объявления --> "Guests cannot examine the declaration"... it means that I have to register to the russian forum... is there a more simple way to access that patch?

Maybe the following is a stupid question but... what I have to do with the "Black2.tsk" file in the archive? Is it a patch?

it's just a theme you should use (if you wish) instead of the one, which is installed with the rom, it's a black theme. just place it to Windows folder and choose in Settings-Today.

Hi dattad... it seems that the unofficial English WM6.1 rom by korand you suggested me works. The battery is very low and now when the phone is in standby and it receives a call it wakes up!!! It's fantastic!

Unfortunately keyborad and interface is with cyrillic characters! I wrote several email to GigaByte (GSmart Club) asking information about the patch to solve the standby of death problem in i350 but I have not received any reply yet... Do you have any fresh news?

In addition, do you know how I can upload the standard gsmart applications like gps-support, voice recording, etc?

Finally, I've decided to keep the unofficial rom by korand since it solves the standby of death problem in my i350. The problem is the language! The keyboard is in cirillyc but there is a key to switch to english. Unfortunately this key is valid just for the next typed character. Do you know whether exists a trick to maintain the En keyboard?
