Calibration Data for MW700 Touch.DLL

Postby iyerk » Mon Feb 08, 2010 4:02 am

I was unable to get past the initial alignment screen when I hard reset my phone and finally I was able to get past that situation. Now, I am having difficulty setting the calibration data for my GSmart MW700 phone. I did manage to find out where to lookup the values in my Registry for touch.dll. It can be located under [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\TOUCH]. I have tried finding the best combinations and still no luck. My touch is off by one line towards the bottom. Also would appreciate if there is any other fix for this other than making changes to the calibration data. Please help.. Thanks..

Yes, there's a 'fix', you should ask to change the toucscreen in a service center.

Thanks for the prompt reply. How easy is it to change the touchscreen. I contacted the shop that sold me the phone and they have decided to send me the screen. Is there a step by step instruction guide that tells how to remove the screen and replace it. Can I do the repair myself by referring to those instructions or is it better to send it to a service center and they can fix it for me. What is the labor cost. Thanks in advance.

I haven't seen step by step repair instructions, maybe it'd be better to visit any of repair shops and they will replace the screen for you.
